Go Carting San Diego

A few months back, I purchased a 2.5 hour tour of San Diego through Reader Steals. The only catch was that the tour used one of those funny little yellow go carts (which are actually classified as motorcycles) complete with helmets.

GoCar San Diego offered two tours: the more historical Downtown and Midtown San Diego or the more scenic Point Loma andĀ Cabrillo NationalĀ Monument. We chose the Point Loma tour because we spend little time in that area. So off we headed in our little motorcycle to traverse the area via Rosecrans (a little scary).

I must admit I drive all the time but the roads are much more fun when in a go-cart (or a golf cart).

The views from Cabrillo were spectacular and the parking was free for the weekend (a $5 savings). Ocean Beach was hilarious as all the beach bums stared at us as we drove by.

While the content lacked (I think it was because we chose the scenic tour), it was fun enough that we might consider trying the GoCars again in another city (if the price is right).
