On Tuesday, Wife and I trekked up to Carlsbad with our friends Vince and Juli to attend Quiz Night with Tom Schuck at O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub. 

Tom placed us at the front table with some of his other friends who had already picked a team name: the Winers (you see it is a play on words because they drank wine and whined a lot, not really, but you get the idea).

While our team put up a gallant effort, in the end even though we earned 51 points, we lost by 8 points. Our team blames the category of serial killers for cutting away at our chance of winning. However, we did win tickets to the awesome San Diego Air & Space Museum (don’t worry I gave the tickets to the others) for scoring 7 points in the Science Fiction versus Science Fact category.

So, if you are ever in Carlsbad on a Tuesday evening, stop by O’Sullivan’s, eat some food, play some trivia, and support Tom. If you tell him I sent you, he will buy me a drink!
